Of All The Gifts... Your Next Stamp Feature Day

Happy Thursday!

It's time for this month's Feature Day with Your Next Stamp and it's a fun one!  The DT is combining two or more sets in their project, along with whatever dies we would like.  The creations are fabulous!

For my card, I am using both Phoebe and Pets and Cute Gnomies. My really good friend is getting ready to move away this weekend and I thought this would be a great card to give her before driving away.

The bird, cage, and sentiment is from Phoebe and Pets while the accent "friends" are from Cute Gnomies.  I used the circle die set and Stitching Marks dies set to cut out the center before adding the cut outs from Tweet Birdie Home for the cage to hang from.  The cute bird is positioned so it looks as though he is sticking his head out to say hi to his friends.  I used some patterned paper from Crate Paper for the front panel and finished off the card with the sentiment and some heart gumdrops.  I hope she likes it!

Don't forget to check out the YNS Blog to see all the other great creations and leave a little love.  A random comment will be picked to win a stamp set of your choice! That always make for a good day. :)  I hope you all have a great rest of the week and if you are like us here, a great last day of school Friday.

Time To Chill - Your Next Stamp DT Dare

Happy Wednesday!

Today is the Your Next Stamp DT Dare challenge and it's called Just For You.  This can be interpreted in various ways, but it's not hard to make something that is just for you.  :)  It can be a hello card, a get well treat, thinking of you something, the possibilities are endless!

For my card, I am using the new Waddles Bring on the BBQ set along with the new Stick Frame die set.  With Father's Day coming up, I figured this would be a good subject to touch on with letting the man "chill out!"

I started with a blue cardstock base layered with some patterned paper from the newly released For the Boys collection.  Waddles was colored in with Copics before using the coordinating die set to cut him and the TV out and popped up over the stick frame.  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the top panel and the card was finished with some twill ribbon stapled with my mini staple gun.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to leave a little love on the YNS Blog for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice! Woot! Who doesn't love that?! Have a great Wednesday!

The time has come for the June release of Your Next Stamp's June release! A fun, summer-y release that will be sure to get your summer mojo flowing.  Did you make your list as you looked at all the fabulous sneak peeks?

For my first card, I am using the Parrot-ise set that is just SO much fun! And to make it even more fun, the coordinating paper is perfect!!

I used a sheet of the patterned paper for the back panel before using some Distress Inks to sponge for the top panel.  Once I sponged in the colors I wanted, I added a few water droplets.  Then, the new released Stick Frame dies were used for the backdrop cut from same patterned paper collection.  The parrot were colored in with Copics and cut out using the coordinating die set.  The card was finished with the sentiment in various colors and some of the new fun Tropical Paradise gumdrops.

The second card I am sharing is using the new Waddles Bring on the BBQ set.  You really cannot go wrong using Waddles in any season or celebration.  He is just too cute.

For this card, I used the sun panel die for the background and some the patterned paper from the newly released For the Boys paper pad for the inside lining.  Waddles was colored with Copics and cut out using the coordinating dies to be popped up over the sunburst.  The card was complete using some new Firecracker sparkly gumdrops.

As always, Karen is offering a sweet deal for you that you don't want to miss.  This way, you can get everything on your list!  See what she did there?  :) You cannot beat a 20% discount for all these fun goodies!

Sneaky Peek - Your Next Stamp June Release

Hey, everyone!

It's that time for the June sneak peek of Your Next Stamp!  This release is so summer-y and fun, you will no doubt have some mojo for making some awesome projects, cards, or invitations.

For my sneaky peek, I am using the new Whatnot Sentiments Ten to create this pearlesque watercolor sentiment card.

I tried very hard to capture the pearlesque look, but I just couldn't get it on camera.  But know IRL it is quite pearly and shiny! For the background, I used my almost forgotten Yasutomo pearl watercolors. Canon watercolor paper was used as I brushed over different colors and dried it with my heat gun.  I added some water drops to the look and heat embossed directly on top the 'you are' before using the coordinating dies to cut out the outline of the word.  I then heat embossed the sentiment on the black panel following the outline of the cut-out. The card was finished with some sparkly gumdrops and a little butterfly at the bottom.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to see all the fabulous peeks and don't forget to stop back tonight for the full release and blog hop! Thanks for stopping in!

Thanks a Latte - Your Next Stamp Friday Challenge

Happy Friday all!

Today is another Friday Sketch and color challenge with Your Next Stamp.  This sketch gives you a great opportunity to use multiple patterned papers if you are looking for ways to use up a few larger scraps or a nice way to peek out your patterned paper between some solids.  Just a fun sketch overall with many possibilities!

For my card, I decided to make one showcasing the YNS Crazy for Coffee patterned paper pack.

Once I chose which papers to use, I place them on the base cardstock.  I used the Square Stitched Frame for the sentiment area which I then used the 3D Banner die to showcase 'latte' which is popped up.  The sentiment is from the Sprinkles Coffee set.  This paper set is so much fun! I kept the card CAS to give to someone who is not so "frilly."  The card was completed with a few Milk and Cookies matte gumdrops

We hope you will be able to play along with us over on the YNS Blog.  If you do, be sure to link up your project for your chance to win a gift certificate to the YNS store.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great Friday!

Arrrr... It's time for the May New Release Blog Hop for The Cat's Pajamas Stamps! If you have walked the plank from the ever talented Christine, you are in the right place.  If not, you will have to swab the deck back to the beginning over at Wendy's blog. This release will put you in the mood for more sun and water, and treasures to be found!  There is also some new deets about our TCPTUES challenge, so keep reading!

For my first card, it was made using the Beaches and Sailboat Cut Ups to create the ocean.  I added a few shells from the Doodled Shells set for the bottom and added the sentiment to the top.

The sentiment is from the new set called Bunnies at Sea which is just the cutest!

I layered different colored blue card stock for the water and some beige colored card stock for the ocean bottom. The shells were colored with watercolors and fussy cut to be popped up.  The card was finished with a few pearls.

This second card was made using the sentiment from Doodled Shells and the new Shells Cut Ups.

The center panel was cut using my Labels 3 Spellbinders die and layered with some patterned paper I had.  I sponged the edges of the base layer while stamping the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper before layering the bottom of that with the Cut Up Shells. The card was finished with a few sequins for added sparkle.

For today's TCPTUES336, here are the new details on how to play and how you can win $50 to the TCP Store!! Woot!  This challenge will run from 5/30/ - 6/30 and the theme is: Sun, Sea, and Sky.

[AKA Take-out] - Your Next Stamp

Hey all!

It's Friday and time for another sketch and color challenge over on the YNS Challenge blog.  This is a simple sketch that allows for that favorite image to be showcased and even simple for those masculine cards we sometimes have a hard time doing.

For my card, I am using the set Let's Do Take Out to create this clean birthday card that can be used for either a man or woman.  However, I may be partial to thinking this would be more of what a man may give the girl. Hahaha!  The sassy sentiment is perfect for the image (and why I think perhaps a man could give this...!) :D

I started with a white card stock base, layering it with some kraft card stock and some patterned paper I have had from SU for years.  The image was colored with Copics and cut out using the YNS Circles die set and Stitching Marks set and popped up.  It was completed by stamping the sentiment directly onto the paper and finished some Milk and Cookies Matte gumdrops.

Be sure to check out the other DT member's project on the blog and hope you will play along! Have a great day!

Sneaky Peek - May Release The Cat's Pajamas Stamps

It's here! Sneaky peeks with TCP Stamps! This release is a little smaller than the one's you are used to, but it is still packed with cuteness, humor, and sophistication.

For my peeks, I am sharing with you two cards I made. One is with the set called Doodled Shells. I could not resist embossing this and water coloring the insides to make a CAS sophisticated card.

Isn't this set just beautiful? As you can see, the top panel of the card is embossed using Ranger's ep in Liquid Platinum. First, I had arranged them in the order I liked using my MISTI.  Once I was happy with that, I inked up all the stamps with my Versamark ink and stamped the panel twice to ensure good coverage.  Before adding the powder, I used the starfish to accent a few areas for filler.  Once heat embossed, I used my watercolor pens to color the inside of the shells. The sentiment was stamped and my Copics used to color in the words.  I can see myself using this set a lot this summer!

For my second card, I am using the super fun and cute set of Bunnies at Sea.  I mean, how could you not love a bunny pirate?! :)  It was a hard toss up of using the snorkeling bunny or the pirate ship for this card. But, the sentiment is hilarious that I had to use the snorkeling bunny.

In addition to using this set, I am also using the new release Cut Up of Beach Waves. I just love the added stitched marks to the wave.  I used this Cut Up to create the water bunny will be snorkeling in using two different colored shades of blue.  Once the image was stamped and colored in using Copics, I fussy cut him out to be popped up over the "water."  The fish were stamped in different colors and the card was completed by adding the sailboat, which comes with the Beach Wave Cut Up, and the sentiment was stamped directly onto the top panel. I did add a few drops of Glossy Accents to the water and added some to the bubbles.

Thank you for stopping in and sure hope you join us next week for the new release blog hop! Are you IN IT TO WIN IT? You could win a $10 gift certificate to the TCP store just for leaving a little love as you hop around!

Artist Inspiration (and a SALE!) - Your Next Stamp Feature Day

Hello everyone!

This month's YNS Feature Day is one that is inspired by an artist.  You will not be disappointed with the DT's projects using their favorite artist for their inspiration.

For my card, my inspiration is of one of my favorite paintings - Son of Man.  I have always found this one to be quite interesting and then a bit comedic when it was the main painting for Pierce Brosnan's escape in "The Thomas Crown Affair."  So, I couldn't resist re-creating this using YNS Silly Monsters Incognito and the apple from Learning is Fun.

For the background, I sponged in some Distress Inks before coloring the image with Copics.  The monster and his hat were cut out using the coordinating dies and popped up over the background. I used the apple from Learning is Fun for the center of the monster and added just a touch of white gel pen for some peeking eyes.

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to leave a little love for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice!  And to entice you just a little bit more, Karen is having a flash sale in honor of her son's birthday. 22% OFF your order! You don't want to miss out on those sets you have been eyeing at this great deal!

Make it a great day!

DT Dare - Your Next Stamp - Gumdrops

Hey all!

It's time for the May DT Dare and this month it is all about Gumdrops! No, not the kind you can eat, although that sounds yummy, but it's about the fun Gumdrops YNS sells in the store.  Have you seen the new shaped gumdrops? You must check them out! So much fun!

For my card, I am using the new Sunburst Panel Die and the Tweet Birdie Home die.

I cut out the sunburst panel and placed them closer together.  I then cut out the frame with my Exacto knife so I only have a frame around the outside.  The Tweet Birdie Home die cutouts were popped up using some foam dots and finished with the sentiment stamped in the YNS Stone Gray Ink from Whatnot Sentiments Nine and of course, the new shaped Heart and Dot gumdrops.

This makes for a quick, sweet, love card for you to give to whom you adore. :) Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day!
